Pinch A Penny Pool Patio and Spa is aggressively entering the Texas market.

The retail franchise recently opened its fourth location in Texas. The new store, located in the Houston suburb of Cypress, follows on the heels of Pinch A Penny’s first Texas store in Magnolia in 2016. Two additional locations in Houston and Sugarland, respectively, opened later that year.

The brand currently has more than 230 retail stores across Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Texas, and Louisiana. But it has plans to boosts is presence in Texas. Customers soon will be seeing stores in Austin, Brownsville, College Station, Corpus Christie, Dallas-Forth Worth, El Paso, San Antonio and other key markets. There are even plans to add more stores throughout Houston in 2017.

“The large population of pool owners in Texas combined with the state’s ideal climate makes Pinch A Penny Pool Patio and Spa a strong investment opportunity for entrepreneurs in the state,” said Bob Slaughter, chief business development officer for Pinch A Penny.

All but three Pinch a Penny locations are owned by franchisees, and the new Cypress location is locally owned and operated by Maria and Miguel Escobar.

“After 35 years of corporate life, I was finally ready to become my own boss,” said Escobar. “Pinch A Penny…has all the necessary processes in place for maintaining quality, training, production, delivery and support.”

In addition to the Texas expansion, Pinch A Penny also is looking to grow further into the Southeast regions of Georgia, Alabama and Louisiana over the next few years, said Slaughter. “We’ve already experienced success in these states, as they offer an ideal climate and strong potential for growth.”
