Three one-time hot tub distributors found guilty of scamming customers out of more than $4.6 million are now facing a combined eight years of jail time. Simon Foster, 49, Stuart Cox, 40, and Jonathan Husselbee owned Spaserve in the U.K. When it went bankrupt in 2010, investigators discovered that they had been taking money from the company to fund expensive cars, trips, and other luxuries. The Daily Mail reports that only about 1,600 of the 2,000 hot tubs ordered from Spaserve between 2007 and 2010 were actually ever delivered. Tricks that the trio used to defraud customers included manipulating delivery dates and telling customers that the hot tubs were made in America and had to be shipped to the United Kingdom.
