With a mountain lot that dictated that the pool be placed more than 8 feet below the patio, this project’s elevation changes presented a major challenge. The designers strategically placed boulders, walls and decking to ease the elevation issue and, in the process, gave the freeform pool the look and feel of a mountain retreat. A rock waterfall, grotto area and shotcrete/tile slide provide the finishing touches to this aquascape.
