A Special Judges' Award goes to this pool by Ron Gibbons Swimming Pools of Islip Terrace, N.Y. The 900-square-foot pool runs from 3- to 8-foot depths and features a five-sided vanishing edge, raised spa, a 60-foot love seat and a stainless steel custom cascade. Flowing off the pool is a 700-square-foot wet beach lined in misty rose stone. At night, 2,250 fiberoptic lights set into the pool and love seat create a stunning effect worthy of special recognition.
