The 2011 Atlantic City Pool & Spa Show is entering
its 30th year with renewed energy.
In fact, the theme of this year’s show is “Survive,
“We expect an even bigger show this year, as companies are
now able to move forward with much more certainty,”
organizers said. “We also expect consumer demand to be higher
than ever, so exhibiting companies will be bringing more innovative
products and services to the show than ever before.”
But the vibrancy of an upbeat industry isn’t the show’s
only focus. The “Energy-ze” point emphasizes that this
event will focus on energy-efficient and “green”
products. As consumer expectations for these items continue to
grow, show organizers said, the pool and spa industry needs to
position itself to meet that demand.
When the show hits the Atlantic City (N.J.) Convention Center on
Jan. 25-27, the “green” theme will be obvious in every
aspect of the event, from displays to seminars. Green footprints on
the show floor will point attendees on paths to eco-friendly
products. Classes and forums will cover the latest technologies,
with a particular focus on energy efficiency.
The show’s welcome party has found a new venue for 2011:
Harrah’s Pool After Dark. On Jan. 24, the nightclub will be
transformed into a “poolside tropical adventure,” where
industry pros can chat and sip island-themed drinks beneath a huge
glass dome, surrounded by lush vegetation.
Admission to the exhibit hall will be free for anyone in the pool
industry; some of the seminars will be free for members of the
Association of Pool & Spa Professionals or
the Northeast Pool & Spa Association. To view
seminar passes and to register for a show badge, visit www.nespapool.org.
