Bridge to Everywhere
An added bridge leads to better proportion and more fun.

In-floor cleaner
Wood added in-floor cleaner heads in the areas where he was going to do gunite work —  the new steps, benches and sun ledge. He also could place them at the deepest part of the pool, since he was going to add gunite and raise it from an 8-1/2-foot depth to 7 feet.

“We were not able to get cleaning heads to the main body of the pool,” Wood says. “We certainly weren’t going to go any shallower there. And somebody could argue the point with me, but I don’t like to bust up the main structure of the pool to add cleaning heads. Some people will, some won’t.” The pool’s shallow section was cleaned with a pressure-side automatic pool cleaner.
