NSPI Region 3 Halts Affiliation Push
|
National Spa & Pool Institute Region 3 will not create its own affiliated organization any time soon. While the national NSPI board appeared receptive to the request, its Chapter 11 filing soured plans.
Its an issue no one has control over, said Jaqui Osborn, Region 3 president. Legally, we cannot enter into a new agreement with NSPI because of their Chapter 11 status. Osborn said all affiliation plans are on hold until the national organization is out from under the bankruptcy court. Region 3 members initially proposed an affiliation agreement because they wanted more autonomy to recruit members and develop their own programs.
