Acu-Trol Now Offers Products Internationally

Acu-Trol Programmable Controllers, an automatic controls manufacturer based in Auburn, Calif., now is offering its products internationally through three offices in Canada, Israel and Norway.

The expansions were planned to make distribution throughout Europe and North America easier and faster. Offices in Latin America are slated for 2003.

Dimension One Spas Wins Award

Dimension One Spas Inc., a manufacturer of hydrotherapy products in Vista, Calif., announced it received the Society of Plastics Engineers’ People’s Choice Award. The award was for the company’s innovative use of plastics in its new AquaFit 19 Dual Temp, a product that combines aquatic exercise and hydromassage.

The award was presented at the Society’s 2003 Thermoforming Parts Competition and Exhibition. “Receiving the People’s Choice Award is an honor,” said Bob Hallam, CEO of Dimension One Spas. “It is especially gratifying to receive an award from an industry other than our own.”

Some Conseco Units To Operate Under New Name

Several units of St. Paul, Minn.-based Conseco Finance Servicing Corp. now are operating as Mill Creek Servicing Corp. The new name reflects Conseco’s close ties to Mill Creek Bank, the FDIC-insured and Utah-regulated bank that provides funding for the business units.

“Our businesses are funded through Mill Creek Bank, and are independent of Conseco Inc.,” said Todd Woodard, former president of Conseco Finance’s Consumer Finance Division and now president/CEO of Mill Creek Servicing Corp.

International Pool & Spa Expo Announces Future Dates, Locations

Future dates for the International Pool & Spa Expo, have been announced. In 2003, the expo is scheduled to take place Nov. 5-7 at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.

The 2004 show is slated for Las Vegas, Dec. 1-3, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The 2005 show is set for Orlando, Fla., Nov. 1-3 at the Orange County Convention Center.

Each event will consist of a three-day exposition and a four-day educational conference that will begin one day prior to the expo. “Historically, expos held in these three cities have always been among the largest shows, in terms of both attendees and exhibit space,” said Rick McConnell, show director.
